It’s hard to be on your game when you don’t feel well. Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy is here to help! Pharmaca began in Boulder in 2000, and now has 29 stores in 5 western states, including the shop at Table Mesa Shopping Center.
What makes Pharmaca different from other pharmacies is that it combines pharmacy services with holistic remedies and on-staff licensed health care practitioners (naturopathic doctors, herbalists, and estheticians) to help you determine which approach you would like to take with your health care. They also do free consultations on dietary supplements, herbal formulas and homeopathic remedies.
Pharmaca came to its location in the Table Mesa Shopping Center (at 645 South Broadway) in 2006. Most customers seek out Pharmaca because of its unique selection of products, but the people who work there are a big draw, too. “I think most customers would say [they come here because of] the relationship with the practitioners, especially our pharmacy manager Alan,” store manager Cindy Dobbins says. “Customers literally come from miles away (past other pharmacies) to engage with him. He remembers everyone’s name, their kids’ names and what they need.”
During the 2013 floods, Pharmaca became a key resource to the community. “So much of the neighborhood came to shop and hang out. They couldn’t drive, but they could walk,” Dobbins says. “It was nice to really feel like the community was coming together here.”
The Table Mesa Shopping Center is the perfect location. “We’re right in the heart of everything,” Dobbins says. She says the merchants all support each other. She enjoys shopping at the area stores as well. Servers from Southern Sun stop by for a tea or energy drink before their shift. If there is excess food from Auguste Escoffier Culinary School, Murphy’s or Kim & Jake’s Cakes, they’ll bring it over to share. “It really feels like Pharmaca is part of an extended family and we love that,” Dobbins says.
Expertise, quality products and great service are what you will find at Pharmaca.
